Challenge your organisation to undertake a random act of wildness!
31st May 2016
improve staff health and wellbeing,
connect with the nature on its doorstep and
generate wild content for your communications in June?
If the answer is yes, Avon Wildlife Trust challenges your employees to take part in 30 Days Wild: undertake a random act of wildness every day in June. IT’S FREE!
When you sign up, Avon Wildlife Trust will send you an online pack full of ideas. Your staff will also be invited to complete a Wildness Quiz at the start and end of the 30 days, designed by the University of Derby to record impact on employee happiness and wellbeing. The quiz highlighted fantastic results in 2015:
“30 Days Wild had a positive effect on participants health, happiness, pro-nature behaviour and nature connectedness”
Over 131 million days are lost each year to stress, costing UK employers £1.24 billion (Office of National Statistics 2013). Fortunately, spending just five minutes in nature has been proven to improve wellbeing (Environmental Science and Technology journal, 2010). Let’s get wild and feel the benefits!
This June can you do something wild every day for 30 days?
Businesses already signed up to 30 Days Wild include Rolls Royce, The Bristol Hotel, VINCI Construction, Bristol Cathedral and our very own award-winning conference centre, Folly Farm Centre (follyfarm.org).
Does 30 Days feel too long? Go One Week Wild during Bristol’s Big Green Week during 11th-19th June!

Pledge to raise £30 to protect wildlife
30 Days Wild is completely free! Why not add to your feel good glow and raise £30 for Avon Wildlife Trust as well? We’d love each employee that takes part to raise £30 – just £1 per day. £30 can buy: the materials to take children pond-dipping to learn about water-dwelling wildlife; five new dormouse boxes so we can monitor populations or three new steps at our Prior’s Wood nature reserve so more people can access the beautiful bluebell displays.
