Celebrate Changemakers at the Feb Green Mingle

  • Start - 5.00pm Thursday 02nd February 2017
  • Finish - 7.30pm Thursday 02nd February 2017
  • The Kitchen @ The Station

Join us for a drink at the February Green Mingle, co-hosted by the University of the West of England and the University of Bristol.

The monthly Green Mingle offers individuals, organisations and Partnership Pledge members the opportunity to network in an informal setting with like-minded colleagues, to learn more about innovative projects and initiatives in Bristol, and for local individuals, groups and businesses to make connections and share ideas.

In February 2017 we are delighted to continue our partnership with the University of Bristol and University of West of England to celebrate student Change Makers who are making a contribution to Bristol becoming a more sustainable city with a high quality of life for all.

The mingle will take place between 5.00pm – 7.30pm and nibbles are provided. No need to book, just turn up.,

  • Nominate a Change Maker: As a part of the legacy of the Green Capital initiative the University of Bristol are offering their students the chance to be recognised for all their hard work towards a sustainable future through the Change Maker Award. The award is available to all students that have participated in 7 hours engagement on social, economic or environmental sustainability and have shared their action with others in some way, a common example of this is a social media post. In addition those students who have completed over 20 hours of volunteering and have shared their experiences in a blog are eligible for the gold award. This is a great opportunity to celebrate the positive impact students are having within the Bristol community and it would be great if you could share it with any students you work with. E-mail alissa.wright.2016@my.bristol.ac.uk to find out more
  • Co-Host a Green Mingle: If your organisation or business would like to engage with Bristol Green Capital Partnership and support one of our regular mingles, register your interest by contacting us on contact@bristolgreencapital.org

Also at the mingle…

  • Does your organisation have a project that aims to make Bristol a happier and healthier place to be?
  • Could your organisation have a greater impact in the community with the help of some expert support?

cellis-eliisiss-web-37Then come and talk to Skills Bridge at the Green Mingle! Skills Bridge can help you to make connections with students from both Universities in Bristol who could bring a range of skills and new ideas to your organisation through research projects, work placements, internships and volunteering. Skills Bridge is working with BGCP to help members of the Partnership and others to connect with both Universities in Bristol on sustainability projects which bring together both students and community partners, so come and talk to us at the Mingle – we’ll be by the Skills Bridge banner with a blue sticker on!

(Note: The Mingle will take place in The Kitchen in January, February and March 2017 in a change to the regular location of Bordeaux Quay. Check the website for mingle locations throughout 2017)
