Monthly Green Mingle – April 2017
The monthly Green Mingle offers individuals, organisations and Partnership members the opportunity to network in an informal setting with like-minded people, to learn more about innovative projects and initiatives in Bristol, and for individuals, groups and businesses to make connections and share ideas.
There is no need to book a place, everyone is welcome. Simply turn up between 5.30pm and 7.30pm, nibbles are provided!
If you haven’t attended before, please come and see us at the Bristol Green Capital Partnership stand to learn more about becoming a member or to learn more about our projects and activities.
At this months mingle…
We’ll be hosting the launch of new Bristol-based social enterprise Catalyse Change CIC – supporting teenage girls to develop sustainability skills and knowledge for ‘healthy, happy and green’ communities, careers and planet:
“Our mission is to ignite the ambitions of girls with the skills and belief to catalyse the change they want to see in the world!”
“Sustainable and inclusive development is critical for a peaceful and prosperous world; and gender equality is key to achieving sustainability. Catalyse Change focus on ways we can inspire and skill teenage girls to be the next generation of change-agents. By providing them with inspiration and knowledge ‘to be the change they wish to see’ in the world, we seek to tackle gender equality and sustainability by working with the very people who will help to realise that change.
We are launching our first pilot programme this summer and invite you to come and find out more. We would especially like meet educators, parents, corporate sponsors, schools, green business mentors and other sustainability practitioners who would like to find out more and perhaps even get involved. Also at the Mingle….
- Does your organisation have a project that aims to make Bristol a happier and healthier place to be?
- Could your organisation have a greater impact in the community with the help of some expert support?
Then come and talk to Skills Bridge at the Green Mingle! Skills Bridge can help you to make connections with students from both Universities in Bristol who could bring a range of skills and new ideas to your organisation through research projects, work placements, internships and volunteering. Skills Bridge is working with BGCP to help members of the Partnership and others to connect with both Universities in Bristol on sustainability projects which bring together both students and community partners, so come and talk to us at the Mingle – we’ll be by the Skills Bridge banner with a blue sticker on!
