The panel will be meeting on the 22nd March 2012

There are some important changes to this round which we hope will be a real help to some groups so please read this post and the criteria carefully . The key changes are listed at the end of this article.

As in previous rounds we have a small pot of grant funding to award to community based projects, which help reduce our carbon emissions in Bristol and contribute to making our city a Green Capital . This round is also open to former funded projects for new phases of their work.

For this round we are particularly keen to hear from energy related projects whether this be addressing energy saving, energy generation or some educational aspect.

New Projects

The application form for new projects can be found HERE. The criteria can be found HERE

Current CCF Projects

Since the CCF started we have seen some great projects grow from it and in this round we are opening up the opportunity for those projects who have received money previously to bid again. A proportion of the funding will be available to extend these projects and take them to the next level.

Your application form can be found HERE and the criteria HERE

It is important to read the criteria carefully before you write your application. If you have any questions about the process don’t hesitate to contact us at green.capital@bristolgreencapital.org or call us on 0117 9224180.

As an extra help we are holding workshops on 22nd February designed to help you with the process. This workshop will include general advice including defining outcomes, measuring success, detailing a budget etc. If you have never had to tackle a funding bid or have been unsuccessful in the past we recommend you book for this event. The workshop will be held at 3pm in the afternoon and repeated at 6pm in the evening. These workshops are free but booking is essential – you can book your place HERE

What has changed in this round?

  1. Split funding

As described above we now have two application forms – one for projects that are new to the CCF and one for projects that have previously had funding from the CCF. Make sure you complete the correct one.

  1. Post award workshop – 18th April 2012

This is a MANDATORY session for all projects that are awarded funding by the panel. Please ensure that one of your project representatives can attend on this day. If there is sufficient requirement we will run an afternoon session and repeat it in the evening to accommodate working hours.

  1. Attendance at Momentum group meetings

To fully engage with The Green Capital Partnership we will ask funded projects to send one representative to each Green Capital quarterly Momentum Group meeting. The scheduled dates for 2012, after this round of awards, are 24th April , 17th July and 17th October.
