Steve Micklewright – Director of Community Programmes at Avon Wildlife Trust has been awarded a Lord Mayor’s medal for his work giving local people closer access to wildlife , history and the benefits of their local area. Steve was presented with the medal by the Lord Mayor in a ceremony at The Mansion House on Wednesday 2nd May . Bristol Green Capital knows what fantastic work Steve does in his Feed Bristol project which is why it received CCF funding so we are delighted to hear about this well deserved recognition.
Tynings Field Community Group have reported that their community hedgelaying day was a huge success with people coming from as far away as Devon to learn the art of hedgelaying. Read more…

Horfield Community Allotment and Edible Forest has been selected by the Green Capital Community Challenge Fund (CCF) to receive an extra £1,000 to help further the work of its project.
The community group was one of eight projects in Bristol who had already received funding from the CCF and were competing for the additional money. Read more…
