In July we added a page of questions to the Bristol City Council 2011 Residents Survey. Our aim was to establish a baseline of information from which we could judge progress – progress in helping people understand the climate crisis that we are facing, helping people understand what they can do about it as individuals, and helping us as a partnership understand what people think the priorities are. Good Living is the public facing brand of The Bristol Green Capital Partnership.
In celebration of the European Year of Volunteering, a number of organisations have come together to promote Green Volunteering in Bristol and showcase the array of opportunities for both organisations and individuals to get involved in nature and sustainability through volunteer work.
From blogging about sustainability issues to joining a work party on your local nature reserve; from helping out at a one-off event to regular shifts with a conservation group, there is a green volunteering opportunity for everyone. Read more…
Environmental Trade Show UK (ETS UK) is a new innovative trade show and conference in South West England. Taking place on 13 October at the UWE Exhibition & Conference Centre, Bristol, this Trade Show brings together the best in Environmental and Low Carbon goods and services. It is the perfect opportunity to showcase the best and brightest businesses and technologies.
In 2011, the Green Capital Partnership ran the UK’s first ever city-wide festival of sustainability called Good Living Week. You can see more details of the 2011 events here: Good Living Week 2011.
However, the name has been changed and it is going to be Big Green Week in 2012.
