The Bristol Green Capital Partnership AGM meeting was held on 8th December. This saw the vote for the next Chair and Vice Chair of the partnership. As he had served his maximum two years, existing chair Alastair Sawday stepped down from the role. Martin Bigg was successfully voted in as new chair. Read more…
Green ICT – 29th November – Aardman Animations
Aardman Animation played host to the latest WECC/BGC event last Tuesday (29th). Aimed at highlighting solutions towards lower ICT emissions, we heard from Howard Arnault-Ham (Aardman), Jonathan Tapp (Capgemini), and Chris Priest of the University of Bristol.
The evening gave guests chance to hear about all things green and ICT, with topics such as ‘high density disk arrays’ and ‘video conferencing’ being touched upon. South West Branch Sustainability Seminar which offers a fascinating, informative and thought provoking presentation by Tim Pollard, Head of Sustainability at Wolseley together with a workshop explaining the route to becoming a Chartered Environmentalist with Dr Andrew Townsend, BA (Hons), PhD, FRSA, CEnv, MCIOB, MIfA, MIEMA.
