Our Graduate Intern Presentations
19th September 2013
Over the past 8 weeks, three graduate interns from the University of the West of England have been working for the Bristol Green Capital partnership. The aim of these internships has been to not only provide these graduates with vital work experience as part of a major project, but to also produce blueprints for 2015′s events programme, communications plans and research projects.
Working in the Bristol Green Capital HQ alongside professionals and experts in environmental and sustainability areas, the interns have had a chance to work alongside some of the greenest minds in Bristol and learn about many of the amazing projects that are going on across the city.
However, our interns have not just been sitting by, watching others go about their work. They have all had an important role to play in creating ideas and projects that will run deep into 2015 and hopefully leave a lasting legacy across Bristol. Laura, our Events Intern has been busy looking at how we could make events and festivals in Bristol greener for the future and also working on business packs for local organisations to help them with green and sustainable initiatives. Claudia, our Research and Development Intern has been busy creating an Evaluation and Monitoring framework to monitor the progress of environmental projects in the area. Finally, James our communications intern has been working to improve our websites and social networking sites and creating a report to help with community engagement in Bristol.
In the final week of the internships, our graduates were asked to give short presentations to the Sustainability Team at Bristol City Council as an overview of the projects they had been working on. Below are two of the presentations that were shown in the meeting on 18th September in order to promote the work that the interns have done. Feel free to watch the presentations below.
