Strategic Grant Fund Awards

Bristol City Council today confirm the final Strategic Grant Fund awards – funding organisations grants of up to £50,000 for 2015. Full details of the successful bids can be found on, where further information and stories on the individual projects will be published over the next few weeks.

The Bristol Green Capital Partnership is delighted to see the breadth and depth of projects receiving support via the different grant opportunities that Bristol’s European Green Capital award has brought. Bristol has successfully managed to secure more grant money than any previous winner of the EU Green Capital Award, and innovative plans across the city will emerge as they benefit from additional funding. We are proud of the part that the Partnership has played in helping different groups to find support and collaborative partners to realise their projects, and look forward to supporting them to make the most of the 2015 year.

Bristol Green Capital Partnership CIC is committed to ensuring that every green activity in the city – from huge infrastructure projects with global significance, to the smallest community activity helping individuals to thrive – is given publicity and support to make it grow and influence other communities and cities around the UK and beyond. We are working with partners across the city to help support greater collaboration and match projects with people who can help make them happen.

The Partnership is working to develop its capacity to provide long term services and wider seed funding in the future to help new projects emerge and existing projects develop to build a lasting legacy for our Green Capital year.
