Two weeks to go for local projects raising funds from the crowd for a Better Bristol!
14th June 2017
Since launching on 1 June, the Better Bristol campaign has catalysed over £90,000 for local groups who are helping to make Bristol a more sustainable city. With two weeks left to go, projects need to gain support from the crowd to help turn their ideas into a reality.
More than 20 projects launched on 1 June as part of the Better Bristol campaign in a race to hit their fundraising targets and help make Bristol a more sustainable city. Two weeks into the campaign, 11 projects have been funded after generating 50% of the funds needed through crowdfunding and then benefiting from an additional match-funding grant from Bristol Green Capital Partnership.
Projects in the Better Bristol campaign will all contribute to making Bristol a sustainable city with a high quality of life for all – working within local communities and tackling environmental challenges. Many of the projects who have achieved their funds have ‘stretched’ their targets – view all projects and learn more about the Better Bristol campaign here.
Although a £40,000 match-funding pot from Bristol Green Capital Partnership has now expired, 11 projects still need support from the city to realise their ambitions. These projects have two weeks left to hit their targets through crowdfunding, although one project which demonstrates exceptional commitment to inclusion and equality will be awarded a one-off grant of £5,000 from Bristol Green Capital Partnership on 26 June.
