Could you benefit from engineering advice for your community project?
31st October 2018
Do you have a local problem you would like to receive engineering advice about?
- Do you have a community issue needing engineering designs or prototypes?
Opportunities are now open for members of Bristol Green Capital Partnership to work UWE Bristol engineering students in 2019.
As part of their Group Project Challenge they will work with your community group to design an engineering solution to your problem. The Department of Engineering Design and Mathematics at UWE, Bristol, would like to partner with local community organisations with project ideas relevant to engineering students. This presents an excellent opportunity for students to learn more about community needs and explore a subject area in depth. It also provides a tremendous opportunity for organisations keen to develop projects or evaluate existing engineering activities, in a cost effective manner.
The engineering students will form groups and visit the community site. The students will need to be be jointly supervised by a member of the external organisation as well as UWE Bristol staff. Supervision of the students will occur independently, UWE Bristol supervisors will not routinely attend meetings you schedule with the student.
