Bristol Green Capital Partnership statement on coronavirus (Covid-19)
18th March 2020
Bristol Green Capital Partnership CIC staff team and directors take the health of our community very seriously and our thoughts are with individuals whose lives are being severely affected by Coronavirus COVID-19. We know many Partnership member organisations will also be very concerned about the long term impacts this situation presents to their livelihoods and work.
In the short term, we will do all we can to limit the spread of the virus – therefore and in response to government advice, the team at Bristol Green Capital Partnership have cancelled or postponed forthcoming events and will be working from home until further notice.
Events affected include the April Green Mingle (2 April), a Mayoral Hustings on the climate and ecological emergencies (31 March), and the Spark Forum (23 March).
During this time, the staff team will continue our work to deliver priority programmes and support our ever-growing network of member organisations in their efforts to build a sustainable city with a high quality of life for all, while being sensitive to the challenging times many individuals and organisations will be experiencing.
This will involve moving many of our forums and activities online wherever possible, providing online resources and using our communication channels to share relevant news and information. We will also continue to work ‘behind the scenes’ with partners, supporters and members to develop our programme and navigate the uncertain times we are facing – recognising that the climate and ecological emergencies have not gone away.
