Our Annual Review 2021/22
3rd November 2022
We launched our Annual Review 2021/22 on Thursday 3 November honouring the collective approach of our partners and members to tackling the climate and ecological emergencies.
Some highlights from this last year include:
- Launching Bristol’s first Community Climate Action plans.
- Celebrating the first full year of the Climate Action Programme.
- The Black & Green Ambassadors speaking at COP26 in Glasgow.
- A visit from the UK Committee on Climate Change.
Mohammed Saddiq, the Chair of our Board of Directors said “Our collective environmental efforts present opportunities to reduce rather than exacerbate social inequalities. This requires us to ensure those likely to feel the brunt of the impacts have a say in how the transition to a low carbon world takes place, particularly considering the economic and social challenges we are facing.
It has been our privilege to work with members taking a collective approach to some of the most crucial issues of our time and to be in a position to applaud the steps forward being made.”
We have evolved the Partnership’s purpose and vision and agreed a new 3-year strategy recognising that social, climate and ecological issues are intertwined and must be addressed together. We know that there continue to be environmental challenges, alongside the progress made and look forward to continuing to collaborate with our partners and members on this important work.
This year we printed the Annual Review QR code onto seed cards to share with members at our celebratory Green Mingle. We’re looking forward to seeing the wildflowers popping up next spring!
We wish to say a special thanks to all our supporting members whose financial contributions enable us to make this work happen.
