- Over the last year, has your engagement with Bristol Green Capital Partnership supported, enabled or inspired you and your organisation?
- How can the Partnership continue to support your efforts both now and in the future?
This summer, we are once again inviting all members of Bristol Green Capital Partnership to share their feedback and ideas in our annual membership survey – helping us to strengthen and shape our programme for the future and ensure that your experience as a member of the Partnership is a valuable and positive one.
Our last membership survey in summer 2019 found that opportunities for communication, collaboration and networking opportunities were highly valued by our members – and we responded by inviting even more members to showcase their work on the membership blog, facilitating new forums, building on the Spark Forum programme and finding new ways to facilitate networking at the regular Green Mingle (which now takes place online).
Members also highlighted to us their interest in receiving support in responding to the climate emergency, and the importance of feeling part of a collective movement with more influence on city policies and decisions. Since then we have hosted two large-scale gatherings on how the city can respond to both the climate and ecological emergencies, and invited members to share their progress whilst also feeding into the One City Climate Strategy and the ecological emergency action plan. We are also shaping a new Climate Action Programme to launch later this year. In May we invited members to share their hopes and concerns at a time of great change, and many have offered thoughts and ideas on what is needed to ensure sustainability is at the heart of Bristol’s recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic.
As we look to the year ahead, and adapt our ongoing programme to an online format, your feedback and ideas are as valued as ever. Your views will help to ensure that we can continue to support our ever-growing network of member organisations in their efforts to build a sustainable city with a high quality of life for all, while being sensitive to the challenging times faced by many of individuals and organisations.

*Two tickets to the Eden Project in Cornwall, courtesy of First Base who became a member of the Partnership earlier this year. The mixed-use developer is planning to bring the former Gardiner Haskins warehouse back to life with new spaces to work, live and socialise. These highly sustainable proposals at the Soapworks site in Bristol’s Old Market will also deliver a net increase in biodiversity, including over 100 new plant species. First Base have recently been awarded with The Eden Project’s Planet Mark, recognising the firm’s commitment to sustainability. First Base’s planning application for the Soapworks will be determined by Bristol City Council in the coming months.
